Why Plastic?

What has happened to our pristine Earth? The more we are developing, the more we are hurting our planet. We created plastic, which became our boon but the planet's bane. We need to manage the usage of plastic at once. Together we can!!!!

It was advertised as 'help to mankind, unbreakable and a dream became reality'. It became cheap, cost-effective and highly usable. Mankind left their old ways and moved to using plastic. What as we, humans, can do to solve the problem?

Solving the problem, keeping in mind the current usage of plastic, is hard but not impossible. Since stopping plastic as a whole would not be practical, what can we do to 'reduce' plastic pollution? We can do it by some easy steps. 1. We can move to sustainable alternatives. One example is using paper straws instead of plastic straws.  2. We can lead a Eco-friendly life. Lets reduce waste to keep our future clean. 3. Support local campaigns, organisations and petitions that want to bring environmental issues out to the public. 3. Implement the 4 R's in life, which are refuse, reduce, reuse and recycle. 4. Try carrying your own cutlery, bags, containers, et cetera. It ca help reduce a lot of waste overtime. Follow this and you can make the plastic problem be something easy to conquer. Just remember, be part of the solution and not part of the pollution. Thank you and have a nice day. In today's post, I am going to discuss some facts on the issue of plastic pollution.  The world uses 500 billion plastic bags which require 60 million barrels of crude oil to produce. It endangers marine life and increases the number of plastic bags reaching the ocean. There is an average of 8.3 billion straws reach the ocean annually. This much plastic pollutes the oceans since it produces chemicals like bisphenol A and blocks phytoplankton from producing oxygen. Burning plastic poses a serious threat to humans and the environment. The toxic gases can cause cancer and releases greenhouse gases which, in turn, causes climate change. When burned, if the fumes are inhaled, it can lead to cancer since the fumes contain toxic substances.
